US and India held the 13th Ministerial-level meeting of the United States-India Trade Policy Forum (TPF) in Washington, which was co-chaired by US Trade Representative Ambassador Katherine Tai and Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal.
Goyal made these remarks after convening the 13th meeting of the US-India Trade Policy Forum (TPF) with US Trade Representative Katherine Tai in Washington.
Goyal is on an official visit to New York and Washington DC from 9-11 January to participate in India-US Trade Policy Forum. His visit included delegation-level talks and a one-to-one meeting with US Trade Representative Ambassador Katherine Tai.
The Union Minister of Commerce made these comments after the conclusion of the 13th India-US Trade Policy Forum with his US counterpart United States Trade Representative Ambassador Katherine Tai in Washington.
Goyal took to Twitter to post, "Addressed an industry gathering at the @USISPForum reception in Washington DC, along with U.S. Trade Representative, @AmbassadorTai. Spoke about the deepening of India-US trade engagement and the tremendous opportunities that lie ahead for both nations."
He said that both the US and India are vibrant democracies, both have strong linkages, geopolitical ties, huge interest in business and economic well-being of both countries.
The bilateral meeting on trade between Minister Piyush Goyal and his counterpart US Trade Representative Katherine Tai is rescheduled for early next year, citing the upcoming US midterm elections in November.
