Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary moved a resolution at the J&K Legislative Assembly on Monday during a special session to address the April 22 terror attack at Pahalgam.
Speaking to ANI, Chishty said, "The terrorists are backed by people sitting in Pakistan, but they should realise that for the first time in 50 years, the people of Kashmir are openly chanting slogans against Pakistan."
Speaking to ANI, Bilal Lone said, "Terrorists are not our ambassadors, they are not our prophets. They (the attackers) don't represent the psyche of the majority of Muslims. The ones who gave them shelter must face the consequences. If someone consumes poison, they will die."
Former Separatist leader Bilal Gani Lone advocated for coexistence between the two communities, urging people not to wish Kashmiris away, following the Pahalgam attack.
The terrorists attacked tourists at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam on Tuesday, killing 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen while leaving several others injured, in one of the deadliest attacks in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike in which 40 CRPF jawans were killed.
Acting on the directions of the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Cabinet ministers from the Union Territory are reaching out to various state governments to meet the officials, government and migrant workers to ensure the safety and security of J-K residents working across India.
While speaking on the Pahalgam terror attack Jammu and Kashmir Congress president Tariq Hamid Karra said that he condemns the attack with his strongest words as a Kashmiri and Muslim.
Meanwhile, in response to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir), the police have also issued directions to ensure the safety of Kashmiri students studying in Uttarakhand.
Fear and panic have gripped Kashmiri students across the country following open threats and targeted violence in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.
