Five foreign terrorists have been killed in the encounter that broke out between terrorists and security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on Friday.

Jammu and Kashmir Police averted a major tragic incident as it apprehended a terror associate in Pulwama and recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) weighing approximately 5 to 6 kg, the police said on Sunday.
According to Kashmir Zone Police, the terrorist identified as Aqib Mustaq Bhat, worked for The Resistance Front (TRF). He was earlier associated with Pakistan-based Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terror outfit.
