Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday paid homage to the soldiers and porters killed in a terrorist attack in the Butapathri area of Gulmarg in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Anand Jain said on Saturday.
Two terrorists were eliminated by the security forces in the ongoing Operation GUGALDHAR in Kupwara on Sunday morning. The Indian Army said that war-like stores have been recovered.
"Based on specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists, a joint search operation was launched by the security forces at Manail Gali under Thanamandi Police Station in Rajouri," the ADGP, Jammu Zone, said in a post on X.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu posted on X and said that one Head Constable has died while one Assistant Sub-Inspector got injured.
According to an official statement from Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu, "Based on specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists, a joint search operation was launched by security forces at village Kog (Mandli) in Kathua."
Lieutenant General DP Pandey (Retd), referring to the rise in terror attacks in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, said that the terrorists want to give a message that peace is still fragile and declare that they would operate at will.
The Indian Army on Thursday successfully eliminated three terrorists attempting to infiltrate across the Line of Control (LoC) in Machhal and Tangdhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the officials, on the intervening night of July 13-14, acting on credible inputs, multiple ambushes were laid along the appreciated route of infiltration.
