Congress is leading in Karnataka assembly polls in early trends of results on Saturday and has crossed the halfway mark, according to the latest data from Election Commission
As early trends for Karnataka assembly elections results showed Congress leading, Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former union minister DV Sadanand Gowda on Saturday said that there will be a "tough fight" as the grand old party has "joined hands" with the JD(S).
As per trends from Election Commission at 9.45 am, Shivakumar is leading against BJP's R Ashoka by 6657 votes while Shettar is trailing against Mahesh Tenginakai of BJP by 12,137 votes
With Congress leading in the early trends in the counting of votes for Karnataka Assembly polls, the party has asked all its MLAs to reach Bengaluru today, sources said on Saturday.
