Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held a meeting with key officials on Sunday ahead of the Assembly session starting on Monday. He emphasized the importance of ministers being well-prepared to address departmental issues and to attend the session in person.
A complaint has been filed against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and nine others for allegedly forging documents to claim compensation from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
Responding to the BJP's allegations of misuse in the MUDA plot allotments and their demand for a CBI inquiry, the CM asked, "Why do they want to hand over everything to the CBI?"
"There has been an outcry that states are not getting their share of taxes properly from the Centre. Currently, the 16th Finance Commission is being constituted. We are advocating that taxes should be shared appropriately with the states that pay the highest taxes to the Centre," he said.
