JD(S) chief and former Prime Minister HD Devegowda on Wednesday cast his vote at his native village, Haradanahalli in Hassan district, during the polling for the Karnataka Assembly.
Polling for the Karnataka Assembly ended at 6 pm on Wednesday and the overall voter turnout till 5 pm was recorded at 65.69 per cent, informed the Election Commission (EC).
Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep on Wednesday cast his vote in the ongoing Karnataka assembly elections and said that one should keep their issues in mind and vote accordingly.
Tied up with busy schedules, several celebrities didn't forget to cast their votes. From Rishab Shetty to Prakash Raj, others snapped at the Karnataka Assembly Elections.
Talking to the media, Shivakumar said, "I am appealing to everyone, please cast a vote by looking at our gas cylinders. I have advised all my leaders to put a gas cylinder outside the booth and put a garland on it".
"On inflation, I am with the public that yes, there should not be a burden on them but the Opposition has no right (to speak on it). They should look at their own tenure," Nirmala Sitharaman said while talking to reporters after casting her vote here in the Karnataka Assembly elections.
Notably, the high-voltage campaign for the May 10 Assembly elections in Karnataka came to an end on Monday as all three major political parties in the state -- BJP, Congress and JD(S) - with their last chance to woo the voters.
"I request all people to cast their votes as early as possible. I am 100 per cent sure they will vote in favour of the BJP. More than 75-80 per cent will support BJP. We will win 130-135 seats," Former Karnataka CM said after casting his vote.
