President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Kapil Sibal hailed Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud for taking up complex issues during his tenure like Article 370, same-sex marriage, and electoral bonds while addressing farewell function for CJI on Friday.
"It was a constitutional misdemeanour to have reduced the state of J&K to a Union Territory. It was wrong for the Supreme Court not to have decided that issue. Time to restore statehood. This is the constitutional right of the people of J&K."
