The conflict along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border has intensified, with clashes now reported in Paktika province following earlier violence in Afghanistan's Kandahar province.
At least 12 civilians were killed and more than 100 were injured after Pakistani forces launched an attack in the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province, according to an Afghan official.
The Taliban-led Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said that Afghan refugees entered Afghanistan through the Spin Boldak crossing point in Southern Kandahar province on Sunday and Monday respectively.
According to reports by the head of Spin Boldak refugee department, some 24 families, including 55 people have been released from Karachi prisons, which includes 24 children.
An unexploded device, a war remnant of years of conflict in Afghanistan's southern region went off in Kandahar province on Saturday, killing one child and injuring another, Khaama Press reported citing sources.
