Before the beginning of the cabinet meeting, the council of ministers congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the Prime Minister for the third consecutive time and the cabinet also congratulated CM Mohan Yadav for winning all 29 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
The NDA, led by the BJP, held a meeting of its newly elected MPs at the central hall of Parliament on Friday to choose Narendra Modi as their leader ahead of the oath-taking on Sunday. Modi was elected as Leader of the BJP and Leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party.
Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said, "They have accepted their defeat. The results have not been declared yet and Digvijaya Singh has started blaming the EVM. It means that they have accepted their defeat."
After casting his vote, Vijayvargiya told reporters, "It is a kind of festival. The way we celebrate our festivals with family, similarly we have come with our entire family members to vote because we consider it a festival. I appeal to everyone to go and vote."
Meanwhile, state cabinet minister Kailash Vijayvargiya posted a picture with Congress nominee Bam on X and welcoming him to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Congress received yet another jolt when many of its councillors, former councillors and workers joined the BJP on Thursday who were part of the team of former Congress MLAs Sanjay Shukla and Vishal Patel. Both the former Congress MLAs had joined the BJP earlier this year.

The Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Umang Singhar, on Friday threw a challenge at Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, saying that if he accepts it, the grand old party will field stalwart leader Digvijaya Singh, with his consent, against him in the next state elections.
The minister also said that he would demand the ECI to declare Chhindwara Lok Sabha a sensitive parliamentary seat and ensure regular checking of their (Nath) vehicles.

Digvijaya Singh had recently said that he was working to get 400 people to file nominations from his constituency so that polling could be conducted through the ballot paper.
Vijayvargiya made the remark while speaking to ANI in Chhindwara on Tuesday, when questioned about Singh, who is contesting from the Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat in upcmoing Lok Sabha elections, on Sunday proposed a way of conducting elections through ballot papers in his constituency.
