According to sources, more than 100 Members of Parliament have signed the impeachment motion draft, which will be brought against Justice Yashwant Varma in Parliament.
"They are asking for the signatures of 40 members from the Congress party, and we are giving them. More than 100 members have to submit the letter with signatures, and the Congress party is also signing them," he added.

A meeting of the Parliament's Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice was held here on Tuesday which discussed judicial accountability and whether judges should accept a government appointment soon after retirement.
After interviewing 55 witnesses and reviewing digital, forensic, and circumstantial evidence, the judicial panel concluded that the misconduct was "serious enough to call for the initiation of proceedings for removal" of Justice Yashwant Varma.
The committee, constituted by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna on March 22, concluded that there is credible and serious evidence of misconduct following the discovery of burnt currency at Varma's official residence.
Senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal on Tuesday slammed the Supreme Court's in-house inquiry against Justice Yashwant Varma, saying that the three-member committee indicted the judge without hearing him and without following any procedure.
Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, retiring on Tuesday, said that he wouldn't accept any post-retirement post, but perhaps will do something related to law.
As per the in-house inquiry procedure, the Chief Justice of India (CJI) forwards the inquiry report to the government if an "executive action" is deemed necessary against the concerned judge.
