The special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) judge of Tis Hazari Court on Wednesday sent suspended Delhi government official, Premoday Khakha, and his wife, Seema Rani, to 14 days of judicial custody till September 6, in connection with the rape of a minor girl.
The accused government official allegedly sexually harassed his friend's minor daughter for several months and impregnated her. His wife Seema Rani, who was also arrested by the Delhi Police in the same case, has also been sent to further one-day judicial custody.

Bittu Bajrangi was arrested by Nuh Police on Tuesday after a case was registered against him and 15-20 others in connection with the violence that broke out in Nuh on July 31.
The accused had sought interim bail on medical grounds. It was stated that the accused is a diabetic, has weak eyesight, and losing weight in judicial custody.
Senthil Balaji was produced by the ED before Principal Sessions Judge S Alli after the 5-day custodial interrogation ended. The ED has also filed a 3,000-page charge sheet against the minister in the money laundering case.

The Supreme Court on Thursday was told that an accused under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) upon being produced before a magistrate can’t be mandatorily remanded to the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) upto 15 days and can only be sent to judicial custody.<
