IFJ and its affiliate, the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), have strongly condemned the murder that took place on Thursday and called for a swift investigation into the crime.
Siyal, who worked in the Daily Khabrain, was shot several times while travelling in the area, the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) reported.
The Committee to Protect Journalists confirmed that 31 journalists have been killed in the Israel-Hamas war since October 7, The Times of Israel reported.
As per the ministry, the journalists were wounded in a Ukrainian artillery strike on Saturday. They were evacuated from the battlefield but RIA correspondent Rostislav Zhuravlev died during the journey, it said.
The police said on Tuesday (February 7) that journalist Warishe was standing near a petrol pump on the Rajapur highway when the accused allegedly ran him over with his car. The vehicle reportedly dragged Warish for several meters under the wheels before coming to a halt.
Some believe that Sharif was trailed by a "Pakistani killer squad" due to an investigation he was doing into a money laundering syndicate involving Pakistani politicians.
