The process of demolition of damaged hotels in the Joshimath area of Uttarakhand has been started by the administration, informed officials on Thursday.

As per information, 900 ration packets each consisting of 5 kgs of rice, 5 kg of flour, oil and 2,350 blankets were given to the affected people of the Joshimath area in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Many families have been affected due to the land subsidence in the area.
Speaking to ANI, Surendra Dev, Tehsildar of the area said that the authorities are trying to identify the buildings which do not have a scope for further reparation.
