As per the Seismological Center in Surkhet District in the Western region of Nepal, two earthquakes measuring 4.8 and 5.9 magnitude with epicentre at Bajura's Dahakot were recorded overnight.
"Earthquake of Magnitude:7.2, Occurred on 24-04-2023, 06:11:52 IST, Lat: -29.95 & Long: -178.02, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Kermadec Islands, New Zealand," National Center for Seismology tweeted.
According to NCS, the earthquake struck at a depth of 72 kms. A post on the official Twitter handle of NCS read, "Earthquake of Magnitude:6.0, Occurred on 21-04-2023, 15:51:18 IST, Lat: 2.77 & Long: 127.08, Depth: 72 Km, Location: Northern Malucca Sea."
"Earthquake of Magnitude:6.1, Occurred on 19-04-2023, 14:36:04 IST, Lat: -6.01 and Long: 149.58, Depth: 50 Km, Location: 464km NE of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea," National Center for Seismology (NCS) tweeted on Wednesday.
"Earthquake of Magnitude:7.2, Occurred on 02-04-2023, 23:34:12 IST, Lat: -4.34 & Long: 143.23, Depth: 80 Km, Location: 715km NW of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea," NCS said in a tweet.
