Assuring action on the alleged assault on a Dalit woman and her grandson at Katni GRP station, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday said that orders have been given to suspend the then Thana incharge, one head constable and four constables with immediate effect.
Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari has called for an FIR to be filed against the station in-charge of GRP (Government Railway Police), Katni after a video surfaced on social media showing the alleged assault of a woman and a minor at the station.
The demonstration was staged under the leadership of AICC in-charge of Madhya Pradesh Jitendra Singh, MP Congress Chief Jitu Patwari and Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar and several senior Congress leaders were also present on the occasion.
Patwari sought that the central government should immediately summon the Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra and take strict action against the accused persons.
