Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who is on his three-city visit to the United States has once again sparked a row after he said that Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) in Kerala is completely a "secular party" inviting criticism from the BJP.
Congress leader Pawan Khera on Friday defended Rahul Gandhi for his "completely secular" remarks for the Indian Muslim League party stating that the current Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government lack knowledge of Indian politics.
Joining the list of arrested leaders, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Parvez Elahi was arrested by anti-corruption officials from Lahore outside his home on Thursday, Geo News reported.
Imran Khan, the former prime minister and chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is set to be summoned by Joint Investigation Team (JIT) as part of an investigation into the May 9 attack on Jinnah House, ARY News reported on Monday.
The incident was confirmed by a senior official of the Punjab Prisons Department who said the condition of the woman prisoner, identified as Asma, was stable. He said the prisoner was immediately shifted to the Jinnah Hospital where she underwent a minor surgery.
"We have ample amount of evidence to present to any independent inquiry that the arson and in some places shootings were done by agencies men who wanted to cause mayhem and blame it on PTI so the current crackdown would be justified," said Khan in a video posted on his Twitter handle.
Naqvi said that around 34 attackers were involved in the attack on Jinnah House in Lahore. He said that the rioters and arsonists burnt safe city cameras on May 9 and two metro stations in Lahore, according to ARY News report.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday ordered authorities to arrest all culprits and attackers responsible for the vandalism and arson at the Jinnah House and military and civil installations within 72 hours, ARY News reported.
The caretaker CM ordered the JIT to investigate the incidents and produce a thorough report, which would be delivered to the government. In the interim, geo-fencing will be implemented in all areas that have seen vandalism and arson.
"She creates hindrances in all that work which is supposed to be in the interest of the nation. She is a modern-day Jinnah who has objections to everything which happens in our country and has problems with country growth".
The son, according to details, opened fire at his 60-year-old father near the Mahmoodabad Railway track in the limits of Mahmoodabad police station, Karachi. The victim has been identified as Salah Anwar.
