Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has stated that the rule of development will continue in Bihar, as the National Democratic Alliance is poised for a sweeping victory in the state's Assembly election.
As the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) surged past the 200-seat mark in the latest trends of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, the Janata Dal (United) on Friday highlighted the role of women voters in the mandate.
The NDA, which secured 206 seats in the 2010 elections, is once again poised to touch the same mark as it is currently leading at 203 seats with both BJP and JD(U) unanticipated performances.
Uttar Pradesh minister Anil Kumar on Friday said that the NDA touching the 200-seat mark in the Bihar election is a "victory of the people," crediting voters for supporting two decades of development.
"On one side there is Bihar's zindabad, another side is Tejashwi's Sahabuddin zindabad, so Bihar has decided. That was not just a slogan, Tejashwi Yadav had said that they did jungle raj, and they will continue to do jungle raj, he said 'Sahabuddin amar rahenge'," Tiwari told ANI here.
He stated that the state is "going to write a new chapter in its history" by trusting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and rejecting the "dirty politics" of Opposition parties.
The JD(U) workers exchanged sweets among each other and cherished the moment. Party leader Chotu Singh congratulated CM Nitish Kumar, stating that they are celebrating Holi and Diwali at the party office.
While the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) crossed the halfway mark of 122 in leads as per the Election Commission of India, prominent hoardings with slogans "Bihar Ka Matlab Nitish Kumar" surfaced near the Chief Minister's residence in Patna.
