One person was held for the death of Janata Dal(United) leader Kailash Mahto death on Friday, said the Katihar Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar.
Taking swipe at the opposition parties including Congress, RJD and JD-U over their efforts to forge unity to take on the BJP in the 2024 elections, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur has said that these parties were coming together for 'Maha thug Bandhan'.
The opposition parties which participated in the meeting include DMK, Samajwadi Party, JD(U), Bharat Rashtra Samithi, CPI(M), RJD, Nationalist Congress Party, CPI, IUML, MDMK, Kerala Congress, TMC, RSP, AAP, J-K NC and Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction).

Claiming that the JD(U)-RJD deal rumour has created a turmoil within the party, Khuswaha said "Making Tejashwi CM face will lead to the downfall of the party," he added.
