Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin embarked on a Singapore and Japan tour, aiming to attract investors towards the state ahead of the Global Investors Summit in Chennai next year.
Kwatra made the above remarks while addressing a special media briefing on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Japan, Papua New Guinea and Australia.
After Singapore's integration in the UPI network, Japan is also considering a similar move. In an interview, Japan's Minister for Digital Transformation has said that Japan is "seriously thinking about joining the Indian UPI payments system".
