As the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has taken a comfortable lead amid vote counting for the Bihar assembly elections, Ram Kripal Yadav, BJP candidate from Danapur assembly constituency, thanked the voters and said that he would work for the people of Danapur.
Amid the battering, there is some consolation for the RJD as its leader and Mahagathbandhan's Chief Ministerial candidate, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, is now leading from Raghopur by over 11,000 votes. He was earlier trailing in the seat.
He termed the SIR as an "electoral conspiracy", asserting that after Bihar, it won't be possible in other states, including West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh or any other state.

The counting for the Bihar polls across 243 constituencies began at 8 am under tight security arrangements. The postal ballot counting started first which will be followed by EVM counting at 8:30 am.
"We are all confident that this time, the NDA seat tally will be near that of the 2010 elections. NDA is going to form the Government. We will get 200+ seats," Nabin told ANI.
