Initially, Airtel launched the 5G services in Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Akhnoor, Lakhanpur and Khore in Jammu province, while the service has been launched in Kupwara city in Kashmir valley.
Jammu and Kashmir Police dismissed the allegations levelled by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of security lapse in the Bharat Jodo Yatra which entered the Valley on Friday.
National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah on Friday said that Jammu and Kashmir has not seen the days of no assembly elections even in the worst days of militancy.
When asked if Rahul Gandhi would continue his padayatra in wake of security lapses by the J-K administration as alleged by his party, the Wayanad MP said, "Yes, we will. It will continue."
Congress In-Charge of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Rajani Patil, on Friday alleged security lapses in Congress leader Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra, and accused the administration of the Union Territory of failing to manage the crowd.
"I don't have any say in this. This is an internal matter of Congress. We never questioned surgical strikes and we will never do this,' Omar Abdullah said while speaking to mediapersons in Banihal on Friday.
"People are very excited and have come to welcome Rahul Gandhi despite the severe cold. Bharat Jodo will resume from Banihal and reach Anantnag on January 27," Congress Leader, Jairam Ramesh said on Friday.
