The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has chargesheeted three accused, including a Pakistani handler, in a terror conspiracy case involving the seizure of arms and ammunition in the Poonch region of Jammu & Kashmir, the agency said in a release.
In August 2019, the Central Government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, repealed Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, effectively ending the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcating the state into two Union Territories - Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
NC MLA Tanvir Sadiq responded to the allegations levelled by PDP's Iltija Mufti. PDP leader accused National Conference of having a "tacit understanding" with the BJP.
"The Indian Army has played a crucial role in transforming the narrative. From ensuring security to facilitating infrastructure and logistics support has been instrumental in turning the border village into a tourist-friendly zone," read a statement from the Indian Army.
The Indian Army cordoned off the forested region in the Lasana area in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir after an exchange of fire with terrorists.
