Baramulla (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 4 (ANI): An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in the Wanigam Payeen Kreeri area of Baramulla, informed police officials on Thursday.
Tehsildar Akhtar Abbas Mir Naib said, "Yesterday 2 people entered our area. They were arrested by the army and after questioning they were sent back today at 6:25 pm. Both were father and son. Both of them are residents of PoK."
Owing to the problems caused due to snowfall in Kedarnath and Badrinath and the rains in the low-lying areas, the late-night Chardham Yatris are being stopped by Srinagar Police in Srinagar itself.
"He has been identified as Khursheed Ahmad Bhat. Incriminating materials and a hand grenade were recovered from his possession," the official statement said.
