Weapons and ammunition were recovered during a joint operation by BSF Army trooper, as well as Jammu and Kashmir Police, on a specific BSF intelligence input in Kupwara district, officials said on Thursday.
The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army said the joint operation, involving Indian Army, Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu and Kashmir police, was launched along LOC in Macchal Sector, Kupwara.
"A search operation of the Indian Army and J&K Police is underway along LOC in the Poonch sector after suspicious movement was observed at LOC," police said.
