Shortly after the Gujarat High Court on Friday declined to grant a stay of Rahul Gandhi's conviction in a case involving a defamatory statement about the "Modi surname, Congress treasurer Pawan Bansal said that the Congress respects the court's verdict but does not agree with the judgement.
"The Delhi Police under the leadership of Home Minister Amit Shah leaves no opportunity to break the rules and procedures laid down in the police manual to intimidate, threaten and harass protesters who raise their voices against the government," Jairam Ramesh tweeted.
