The prisoners are being made literate under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (education for all) campaign of the Indian government. There are about 6900 inmates who became literates in the last one year.
Reacting to the row created after Acharya sat in the chair, Bhopal Central Jail Superintendent Rakesh Bhangre told ANI, "Acharya sat on the chair on my request. He is my Guru and his place is higher than that of God. I consider myself very fortunate that I have been able to worship him."
Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 10 (ANI): As many as 10 inmates who had tested positive for COVID-19 and 30 others who were quarantined after showing symptoms of coronavirus, have returned to the Indore Central Jail after they were tested negative.
