The Delhi High Court on Thursday issued notice on the bail plea filed by Shahrukh Pathan to the Delhi Police. He is accused of pointing a gun at a policeman in the Jafrabad area during riots in February 2020.
Kalita has moved two petitions seeking direction to Delhi police for providing videos of anti-CAA prepared by Delhi Police's cameraperson at the Jafrabad area in February 2020.
This case pertains to the murder of a person in the Jafrabad area in February 2020. They have also been charged for the offences of promoting enmity between two communities. These accused persons were identified on the basis of CCTV footage.
"Manzoor and his family were opposed to the relationship. The father of the girl had spoken with the deceased a week ago and warned him to not pursue his daughter," said, Joy Tirkey, DCP (northeast).
The police informed that the preliminary enquiry has revealed that the deceased was friendly with a girl for the past 2 years and the girl’s family was opposed to their relationship.
