An Army Aviation ALH Dhruv helicopter on an operational mission crashed while making a 'precautionary landing' on the banks of Marua River in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar, officials said on Thursday.
According to Poonch Senior Superintendent of Police, a case has been registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
"Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and Chairman, of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan, today," the press release said.
An Aviation Technician lost his life in an Indian Army chopper crash in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district on Thursday, said a tweet from the Northern Command of the Indian Army.
In the ongoing operation, multiple NIA teams in close coordination with the Central Reserve Police Force and the Jammu and Kashmir Police searched 11 locations in Baramulla and five in the Kishtwar district of the Union Territory.
According to police, the incident took place in Hotel Maa Shanti in Sanasar tourist place. The fire went out of control and later spread fast engulfing the entire area.
