A search operation in the forest area of Kokernag is underway as the encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district enters the seventh day on Tuesday, according to the officials.
As Anantnag encounter against Pakistan-backed terrorists enters day 6 in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Shabir Choudhary, a PoK activist, living in exile in London disclosed that he had a foreboding that Pakistani terrorists could launch an attack on security forces in Kashmir.
A search operation is underway in the forest area of Kokernag in Anantnag district where an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists on September 13.
The Indian Army along with Jammu and Kashmir Police resumed operations on the sixth consecutive day against terrorists "holed up" in the forest area of the Gadole in the Kokernag area of Anantnag district.
The Forest Department officials of Udhampur division seized 307 kilograms of Guchhi (wild mushrooms) worth Rs 90-92 lakhs during a search operation on Sunday, the Divisional Forest Officer said.
