Security forces on Friday detonated three suspicious gas cylinders found in Ganapora village of Kralgund in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, according to an official release.
In a joint operation, Kulgam Police alongwith Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel have busted two terrorist modules and arrested five hybrid terrorists, associated with outlawed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) along with arms and ammunition, officials said on Sunday.
Security has been scaled up across Udhampur district in view of the Independence Day celebrations on August 15, with security forces patrolling and manning the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
Security forces had launched a joint operation in the area in dense vegetation with a lot of undergrowth after agencies received inputs about the presence of a group of three to four terrorists, they said.

The Border Security Force (BSF) has tightened security along the International Border ahead of the G20 meeting in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar which is scheduled to start on Monday.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a high-level meeting here in the national capital on Thursday to review security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
A cordon and search operation (CASO) has been launched to search the area. Some speculative shots were also fired during the operation, officials said.
