The 62-day-long Amarnath Yatra will commence from July 1 from the two traditional routes of Nunwan in Pahalgam and Baltal in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district.
"This is for those who cannot reach the holy shrine. A courier service has also been developed to deliver Prasad to their homes," he said adding that it was the demand for piligrims for a long time.
"From July 1 pilgrimage from all over the country will throng the holy cave shrine of Amarnath. This yatra will end on August 30. The management is working to make this yatra successful," said J-K LG Sinha.

While addressing the event he said, "The projects dedicated to the people of Ganderbal are testimony to the government's commitment to accelerate the development of the district."
"Discussed the matter relating to exam centres for the scheduled Common University Entrance Test (CUET) with Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan and requested for CUET centres in J-K UT. He has assured that the issue will be addressed on priority," J-K LG Sinha said.
