Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday condoled the demise of Former ISRO chairman Dr K Kasturirangan, saying his visionary leadership and selfless contribution to the nation will always be remembered.
"India is ready for its next space milestone," said Dr Jitendra Singh, underscoring the significance of the upcoming human spaceflight and a series of critical ISRO missions.

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman S Somnath attended the Indian School of Business event in Hyderabad on Friday. Somnath said that it was a wonderful experience coming to ISB as it is one of the leading business schools that have a global reputation.
As per an official release, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Jitendra Singh said that the project has been approved by the Union Cabinet and financial sanction has been obtained for a total budget outlay of Rs 3984.86 Crore.
Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the state will launch a satellite, adding that scientists from ISRO have already visited for this purpose.
Discussions were held on the national space programmes of both countries, bilateral space cooperation, space situational awareness (SSA), space security, Quad space cooperation, industry-level cooperation and commercial space collaboration.
