The cocaine was uncovered during what was described as a "proactive activity" against the trafficking of dangerous drugs that was carried out last Thursday
According to the police, Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and State Attorney Amit Aisman ordered the investigation "on suspicion of crimes in the field of ethical [misconduct] and interfering in legal proceedings that were allegedly done in the Transportation Ministry."
One suspect, a 35-year-old man, was arrested on Monday and is charged with incitement and supporting Hamas. The second suspect, 39, was arrested last week also for posting inflammatory content supporting Hamas.
The Shin Bet said she was arrested on suspicion of having contact with Hamas operatives and inciting and supporting acts of terrorism in Israel, among other charges.
During raids in several towns, investigators seized hundreds of thousands of shekels in cash, five luxury cars, computers, checks, jewelry, invoices, and more.
