The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Saturday issued an urgent safety advisory to all Indian air operators, warning of heightened risks to civil aviation in the Middle East and Persian Gulf airspace following a sharp escalation in regional tensions.
"The IDF completed a broad strike on strategic defense systems of the Iranian regime. The IDF struck multiple strategic aerial defense systems, including an advanced SA-65 system in the Kermanshah area of western Iran," the IDF posted on X.
In Press Release No. 66, published earlier in the day by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brazil stated that the strikes took place "in the midst of a negotiation process between the parties," which it described as the only viable path to peace.
As tensions escalated in the Middle East after the US and Israel launched a major attack on Iran, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh said that India will have to maintain its strategic partnership.
