Former diplomat Suresh Goel on Sunday said that the Hamas attack on Israel is unfortunate and affirmed that the move will not help Palestinians in achieving their goal of having an independent state.
Earlier, PM Netanyahu also spoke with other world leaders including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak who also held up with the Israeli side for defending its country.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated on Sunday that Hamas has grown stronger with Iran's support in recent years. However, he also mentioned that there is no direct evidence of Iran's involvement in the specific Hamas attack on Israel, ABC news reported on Sunday.
He emphasized that the terrorists behind these actions will face "grave consequences" and Israel will respond on its terms, at its own pace, and in the manner it deems appropriate.
