The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday charge-sheeted five persons associated with the Islamic State of Khorasan Province (ISKP), thus unravelling a major conspiracy by the proscribed Afghan terrorist organisation to unleash acts of terror and violence.
It is now a must for Pakistan to cut off all its support and backing for terrorism and dedicate itself to bringing the culprits of these heinous crimes to justice, the Khalsa Vox report.
The report also notes that there was evidence that several global terrorist entities are using the TTP as cover to evade restrictions of the Afghan Taliban, adding that greater restrictions over such groups could push them to join Islamic State of Khorasan (ISKP).
Sheikh Abdul Rahim Muslimdost, who dissassociated with the terror group in 2015, was interviewed by the pro-Taliban media outlet "al-Mersaad" on how the ISKP was funded.
Pakistan is currently grappling with unprecedented internal political and economic crises, and the Taliban leadership is closely monitoring these developments, making them cautious about making any hasty decisions in favour of Pakistan.
