"While the family was returning from the marriage miscreants tried to stop the bike and pelted stones yesterday. The stone hit the child's head, resulting in his death. The police have registered a case of murder and started searching for the miscreants," said Amritlal.
While speaking to ANI, Delhi Police PRO Suman Nalwa said, "This case was registered earlier this month.SIT is investigating various aspects of the complaint. Further necessary legal action will be taken after the completion of the investigation."
The police arrested a total of 130 people with fake voter cards from Sambhal district, as the first phase of voting began for the Uttar Pradesh urban body elections on Thursday.
The police official further informed that the baby was recovered and taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital through CAT ambulance and admitted there.
"The incident took place on Tuesday late evening, and the family members lodged a complaint with the police," said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jalalpur Devendra Kumar Maurya.
"Upasana an eight-month-old pregnant woman tried to stop the fight but was beaten by the accused due to which she fainted. Her husband then raised an alarm to which the neighbours came to help," said Deputy Superintendent of police (SP), Jalaun Shailendra Bajpai.
"The man in the video that surfaced on the internet was a GRP constable. The video was examined and both of them were questioned. It then came to light that the incident happened near Hansapuram water park," said ACP Abhishek Pandey.
"The girl was shifted to the nearest hospital where she was declared dead. She was a student at MLN college. The reason behind the incident is yet to be investigated," said SHO Kavaljit Singh.
