Internet services have once again been suspended in the Nuh District of Haryana in view of the Brajmandal Yatra call by Vishwa Hindu Parishad on August 28.
Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri on Saturday said that there will be no restrictions or internet ban in Kashmir on Independence Day.
"Whereas it has been brought to my notice by Deputy Commissioner Nub that the law and order situation has been reviewed and the conditions are still critical and tense in the district," the statement said.
ACP DLF Gurugram, Vikas Kaushik while speaking to ANI has said that, "Gurugram is peaceful and no incident has been reported for the last 2-3 days. We feel that today's Panchayat will be carried out peacefully."
According to the official notification, this order shall be in force for another five days with immediate effect from the time this suspension order becomes operational till 3:00 PM on July 10.
The Manipur government on Sunday extended the ban on internet services in the state for five more days to prevent any disturbances of peace and public order.
Violence gripped Manipur on May 3 after clashes erupted during a rally organised by the All Tribals Students Union (ATSU) to protest the demand for the inclusion of Meiteis in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) list.
The Supreme Court on Friday declined the urgent listing of a plea against the suspension of internet services in the violence-hit state of Manipur since May 3, saying High Court is seized of the matter.
