Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on Wednesday advised international passengers to check the latest updates with respective airlines amid schedule changes in westbound flights due to the situation in West Asia.
The Caribbean side's departure from India has been delayed due to International airspace restrictions arising from security concerns in the Gulf Region, owing to the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict in the region.
The airline has begun restoring services to destinations including Athens, Muscat, Jeddah, and Madinah. It also indicated that additional repatriation flights to the United Arab Emirates will be operated, subject to slot availability and regulatory permits.
Amid escalating tensions in parts of the Middle East, passengers travelling on international routes have reported disruptions and heightened security measures, while airlines continue to monitor the situation closely.
Currently, the West Indies team is accommodated safely in India, and the board said it is closely monitoring the situation. Fans and stakeholders are being kept informed as confirmed travel plans are finalised.
