Three persons including two juveniles have been held for allegedly killing one person and leaving several others seriously injured, the Delhi Police informed on Monday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured from the Prime Ministers National Relief Fund (PMNRF) in the Ludhiana gas leak accident.
Fifteen passengers were injured on Monday after an Uttar Pradesh roadways bus heading from Delhi to Aligarh lost its control and overturned into a drain, police said.
On Sunday early morning, an unidentified (24), from the town of Bodmin, was arrested as the suspect in attacking eight people, leaving one person dead.
Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh on Sunday announced Rs 2 lakhs ex-gratia compensation to the family members of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured and admitted to the hospital in the Ludhiana Gas leak incident.
"Definitely, it is a gas leak case. The NDRF team is present at the spot to evacuate the people and will conduct the rescue operation. 9 people died in this incident and 11 are sick," says Swati, SDM Ludhiana West.
Maharshtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the Indira Gandhi Hospital and met with those injured after the building in Bhiwandi collapsed on Saturday.
"This incident is unfortunate, 12 people have been evacuated. NDRF and other agencies are trying to rescue people from the spot. Rs 5 lakhs have been given to the deceased and instructions were given for the treatment of the injured," said Shinde.
A 28-year-old woman was killed and two of her minor children were injured after a fire broke out at their house in Old Chandrawal, Majnu Ka Tila area of Delhi on Saturday afternoon, the police said.
