The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab Police shot dead a wanted gangster and two Punjab Police personnel were injured in an encounter in the Punjab's Barnala district on Sunday, officials said.
Out of the 18 individuals injured in the JLN stadium 'Pandal' collapse incident, 11 have been discharged after receiving medical treatment, according to an official release by AIIMS (All India Institute Of Medical Sciences).
Tamil Nadu Minister KKSSR Ramachandran met the people who were injured in the Sivakasi fireworks incident and said that appropriate action has been taken by the District Collector.
The Delhi Police on Saturday registered a case under sections 288 and 337 of IPC in connection with the Pandal collapse incident at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, said Police.
According to Virudhunagar District Collector Jeyaseelan, "The accident took place around 12 pm today. Nine people have died and three are in critical condition. The injured have been admitted to Sivakasi Hospital."
According to fire department officials, "8 people have been killed in the explosion at a firecracker factory in the Virudhnagar district. 10 people have been injured in the incident. The reason for the explosion is yet to be ascertained."
Three persons were killed while another was injured after a car jumped a road divider and later rammed into a tempo in Maharashtra's Pune on Saturday morning.
According to Delhi fire services department officials, four others including a police constable were also injured in the fire that broke out in Dayal market at around 5.30 pm.
