The Congress party organised a 'Nyay Yatra' (Justice March) on Sunday, protesting the contaminated water issue in Indore's Bhagirathpura area, the consumption of which led to the death of approximately 20 people and left hundreds ill.

"The CM has ensured action against those responsible for the incident that occurred here in Indore's Bhagirathpura. He is also continuously monitoring the situation and the condition is improving," Minister Parmar said.
Collector Shivam Verma further highlighted that the affected families were given a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each according to the instruction of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, adding that free treatment was being provided to people undergoing treatment.
The Congress leaders slammed the state-BJP government over the incident, accusing the incident had tarnished the image of the Indore city, which was known for its cleanliness and ranked first across the nation.
