Indian badminton players Priyanshu Rajawat and Lakshya Sen advanced to the second round of the Indonesia Open 2024 BWF Super 1000 tournament in Jakarta on Tuesday.
They played their fourth final of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour this year, having won other three of them - Swiss Open 2023, Indonesia Open 2023 and Korea Open 2023 - earlier this year.
This is the third Super 500 title of their career so far after Thailand Open 2019 and Yonex Sunrise India Open 2022 and the third BWF World Tour title in 2023 as well, having previously won the Swiss Open 2023 (Super 300) and Indonesia Open 2023 (Super 1000) earlier this year.
The 12th-ranked Sindhu has failed to make a mark in the past three BWF World Tour events as she did not cross the second rounds. The former world champion was knocked out in the round of 16 of the Indonesia Open after exiting the Singapore Open and the Thailand Open in the first round.
