On the sidelines of the IPEF (Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity), Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal attended a series of bilateral meetings aimed at deepening and finding scope for new investment opportunities in India.
Union commerce minister Piyush Goyal, who is on a four-day visit to the US, also took part in the Investors Round Table organised in collaboration with the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum and Indiaspora.
The event was attended by venture capitalists and entrepreneurs from a wide spectrum of industries in the US, including from the domains of energy, manufacturing, logistics, and technology, among others.
The two leaders held talks on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) and trade pillars. The bilateral meeting between Piyush Goyal and Katherine Tai lasted for almost 30 minutes.

India and the United States reaffirmed their commitment for a "free, open, inclusive and resilient" Indo-Pacific and emphasized the important role of the Quad as a "force for global good".
Union Commerce and Industries Minister Piyush Goyal is scheduled to visit the US from November 13-17 to attend the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) ministerial meeting and has been invited to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in San Francisco.
As per a release from his Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Friday, Goyal will also interact with eminent businesspeople, prominent academics, US officials and industry leaders during the visit to further strengthen the economic and commercial relations partnership between the two nations
India and the United States are promoting a free, open and secure Indo-Pacific by strengthening the partnership through QUAD (Quadrilateral Security Dialogue) with Japan and Australia, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.
