"A drone entering from the Pakistan side has been intercepted (by fire) by alert BSF troops in Gurdaspur Sector. On being fired, the drone returned back to Pak. Search operation underway," BSF Punjab Frontier tweeted.
Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone sneaking into the Indian territory, carrying packets of Heroin and Opium, near Dhanoe Kalan village of Punjab's Amritsar, officials said on Thursday.
"On April 15, 2023, during afternoon hours, forward deployed BSF troops apprehended one Pakistan national ahead of border fence, while he crossed the International Border and entered into Indian territory, in the area falling near village - Raja Rai under Ferozepur district," stated the BSF

The Border Security Force (BSF) shot down another Pakistani drone in Punjab soon after it entered into Indian territory carrying a consignment of contraband items, the paramilitary force said on Tuesday.
In a statement, BSF said, "On Friday at about 02:28 am, BSF troops deployed along the Indo-Pakistan border in the area of Metla in the Gurdaspur sector of Punjab detected a drone infiltrating into Indian territory from Pakistan side, and subsequently fired upon the rogue drone."
A similar balloon was sighted over the Andaman over a year ago by the Indian forces also but no action was taken against it insuring three to four days of its sighting over Indian territory before it drifted away.
