SBI Research in a report analysed and argued how the withdrawal of Rs 2000 banknotes could boost bank deposits, repayment of loans, consumption, RBI's retail digital currency usage, and overall economic growth.
Terming his remarks "ill-informed" and shocking" Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday shot back at the senior Congress leader KC Venugopal for hitting out at the Centre over "skyrocketing airfares" and said Indian economy is in the pink of health.

Indian economy grew more than various experts and global agencies initially estimated for 2022-23. As per the provisional estimates released by the National Statistical Office (NSO) earlier this week, real GDP growth for 2022-23 stood at 7.2 per cent, higher than the 7 per cent projected.
