The three accused Saddiq Khan, Bariyam Khan and Haji Khan were arrested in February 2017 for collecting and sending confidential information of strategic importance to Pakistan.
Towards this, Army and Assam Rifles in conjunction with the state government, Manipur Police and CAPFs have been working in close coordination and synergy to assure protection to vehicles via NH 37, "The Lifeline of Manipur".

According to the release, heavy torrential rains were witnessed in Lachen, Lachung and Chungthang valleys on Friday. As a result of this, approximately 500 tourists who were travelling to Lachung and Lachen Valley were stranded at Chungthang, due to landslides and road blocks en route.

Security personnel while conducting a patrol in the violence-affected area of Manipur recovered a "Remote Initiation Mechanism" for improvised explosive devices (IED) on Wednesday, Army said on Thursday.

Gajraj Corps of the Indian Army on Tuesday conducted a joint flood relief 'Exercise Jal Rahat' at Hagrama Bridge on Manas River in Assam to validate joint drills and coordinate preparedness by multi-agency flood relief columns.
"A meeting of Indian Army and Chinese Army officials at the Major General level was held at the Daulat Beg Oldie sector along the LAC in Ladakh today. The two sides discussed ways of resolving the ongoing stand-off between two sides and were routine in nature," Defence sources told ANI here.
