The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection committee is set to announce India's squad for the upcoming five-match Test series against England starting from June 20 on Saturday in Mumbai, as per a release from BCCI.
Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan wondered if the remainder of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) could be shifted to the UK after the tournament was suspended for a week amid the rising border tensions between India and Pakistan.
The announcement was made by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), who also revealed the venues for the next two Ashes to be held in the UK, as well as other significant allocations for the period 2025-31.
With this knock, Harmanpreet Kaur registered her fifth ODI century and became India's second-highest century scorer in ODIs, next to Smriti Mandhana (5) and former batter Mithali Raj (7)
There are two differences between this squad and the one that competed in the Commonwealth Games. Heather Knight is still recovering from a hip injury, and Katherine Brunt, England's leading IT20 wicket-taker, will skip the series to focus on rest and recovery
