The MoUs were exchanged in Parliament House of Singapore by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Minister of Foreign Affairs in Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan in the presence of Prime Minister Modi and his Singaporean counterpart Lawrence Wong.
India and Singapore signed four Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the fields of digital technologies, semiconductors, health cooperation and skill development, which will further strengthen the cooperation between the two nations.

"Beyond the bilateral, there is also the issue of closer collaboration in a volatile and uncertain world. In this regard, we must recognise that ours is a partnership based on a high degree of trust and understanding," Jaishankar said.
Ambule said that the discussions held during the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) held on August 27 set the agenda for the relationship and that is the agenda which will be consolidated now and cemented during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit
While addressing a weekly media briefing, Jaiswal said that PM Modi will be visiting Brunei at the invitation of Brunei Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and it will be the first-ever bilateral visit by the Indian PM.
